Hello beautiful humans from Daryl & DiscoDog :-)

Welcome to my off-grid, woodland, smallholding with my lovely animals in this beautiful forest, just a 1-hour train journey from London.

With your help, I am managing this wonderful piece of land with dairy goats, chickens, rabbits, a duck and my dog (Disco).

This means together we can all experience working together here in this off-grid, clothing optional, natural space; caring for animals, practicing forestry work, learning things like permaculture and forest gardening, helping to create a healthier, more sustainable, productive environment for the forest!

While at the same time creating an open and free space for us all to learn, practice and explore in a comfortable and welcoming environment for everyone.

In 2016 I sold up everything I had to buy this old woodland and have been working the land ever since, with friends, family & volunteers. So far, this place has totally transformed from being an unmanaged, unbalanced, dark, infertile habitat to very much the opposite! Together we are managing this woodland the old-fashioned way, including many growing projects, animals, building a barn, a young orchard, forest food growing, and of course a big bonfire pit for cosy evenings amongst this diverse woodland.

This is still early days but hopefully you can see the beauty in the process and be excited by the visible improvements that you can be part of!

As for me, I’m trying to create something more meaningful and long-lasting, while making great memories with the different volunteers that are taking part here as we each put our life experiences to use in different ways. We’ve learned a whole variety of skills together in this natural environment but are still very much experimenting and learning as we go, so I hope this is the ideal space for us to learn from one another!
